Spring Cleaning #30

I have saved items to the S drive before, so I have done step 1 in the exercise. I looked at the P drive and found somethings that were no longer in use. The Form Folder had old and second, third copies of forms that I have deleted. But I did not feel I could just delete them without asking Annette first. We decided together that we could delete them, whick I have done. A person could get into trouble deleting items on a branch drive. Some of the oldest forms I deleted were from 8/2003.

My personal folder on the z drive is organized.(I think) I can find posters and flyers I have made in the past pretty fast. I do look at my folders two or three times a year to determine if there is anything I can delete or relocate. All for now.

Spring Cleaning--Email #29

Spring Cleaning--Email. My email is up to date most days. Out of 167 emails(on March15), I now have 130 or less. I also deleted one or two folders I was not using. At this time I have a gmail and yahoo accounts. I don't think I need a third email account. All for now.

Spring Cleaning # 28

GTD-Getting Things Done. I like the idea of making GTDs easy to store, track and retrieve the information you need to complete the tasks. The Ticker File would be very helpful. I hope to use this system.

I looked at the Google Calendar. Had to wait a minute or two to get in. My paper calendar is always right on my desk, waiting for me. I also looked at Remember the Milk site. Lists, reminders, share work with co-worker, and plan your time can all be done on this site. Get organize and have fun while you do it. ( It is still work) Again my paper calendar is on my desk. Yes, I know not everything can be done with my paper calendar. But for me, my paper calendar does what I need it to do. I also checkout the Ta-Da List. All these sites are great. A person can make list, setup reminders, organize meeting, but if you do not take the time to look at the site at least once a day( or more) none of this planning will help. All for now.
